Alpha Core Services

GP Practice 

1. Alpha Practice Assessment Healthcheck – this utilises a proprietary methodology developed by Alpha and involves a holistic review of the entire practice operation and looks at the ‘patient journey’ through the practice and then the business performance of the practice from a system, IT, financial, HR Health & Safety and Quality Management system perspective. The practice performance in these areas is benchmarked against ‘bestpractice’ against Alpha extensive GP database.

2. Alpha Practice Financial Healthcheck – includes tracking & monitoring, benchmarking & monthly/Quarterly – ‘Financial Radar’ reporting of key metrics and trends; tracking and monitoring of new service delivery;

3. ‘Alpha PCRS Healthcheck’; - which encompasses monthly tracking & monitoring of all PCRS payments; monthly trend analysis, benchmarking, practice subsidy maximisation and monthly reconciliation of expected subsidy payments v actual subsidy payments, tracking of ‘under 6s & Asthma/Diabetes payments, tracking and reconciliation of capitation payments. Tracking of all payments is critical to manage a practice’s finances;

4. ‘Alpha Quality Management System’ (confirming to ISO 9001 standard) – this facilitates a practice in putting in place all Health & Safety, Infection Control, Human Resource and other policies so that your practice complies with HIQA and all other regulatory requirements & training staff in these requirements.

5. ‘Alpha Practice Business planning’ – helps and supports practice teams in preparing their practice business plans, in tracking and /or in implementing key change areas,

6. ‘Practice Systems Optimisation’- using techniques such as LEAN and Total Quality Management – we work to improve practice systems including appointments system set up, phone management and other system optimisation

7. ‘Management in Healthcare training’ – staff training and development, devised a range of training courses, accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management, which we give to Practice Managers, practice staff and wider range of healthcare professionals.

8. ‘Alpha HR Healthcare’ – complete review of practice staff skills and competences, support with addressing staffing or HR matters, compliance with Employment Law regulations
